I need some assistance. I have enabled debug logging, but for some reason, I am unable to access the debug log file, and the characters inside it are causing me trouble. I made a modification to the src/testdir/Makefile file, changing the line awk '/Executing Test_/{match(\$0, "([0-9][0-9]:[0-9][0-9] *)?Executing Test_[^\\)]*\\)"); print substr(\$0, RSTART, RLENGTH) "\r"; fflush()}' to awk '{print; fflush()}', and I was able to obtain some potentially valuable output. ```bash 2024-03-05 11:50:25 VIMRUNTIME=../../runtime ../vim -f -u unix.vim --gui-dialog-file guidialog -U NONE --noplugin --not-a-term -S runtest.vim test_functions.vim --cmd 'au SwapExists * let v:swapchoice = "e"' | LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 awk '{print; fflush()}' 2024-03-05 11:50:25 [?1049h[>4;2m[?1h=[?2004h[?12h[?12l[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?25l"test_functions.vim"[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m 39 lines, 1012 bytes[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m00:00 Executing Test_getchar() 2024-03-05 11:50:25 [?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?2004l[>4;m[?1004l[?2004l[?1l>[?1049l[?25h[>4;mVim: Error reading input, exiting... 2024-03-05 11:50:25 Vim: Finished. 2024-03-05 11:50:25 2024-03-05 11:50:25 "test.log" [New] 2024-03-05 11:50:25 "test.log" "test.log" [New] 6L, 100B written 2024-03-05 11:50:25 NO tests executed 2024-03-05 11:50:25 1 FAILED: ``` As mentioned in the previous log, this is just one of many failed tests I encountered, but they all eventually resulted in an error: "Test caused Vim to exit: Test_getchar()". I noticed that there are many control sequence outputs, but in my other environment(is succeed), I don't see these control sequence outputs, such as: ```bash [ 241s] VIMRUNTIME=../../runtime ../vim -f -u unix.vim --gui-dialog-file guidialog -U NONE --noplugin --not-a-term -S runtest.vim test_functions.vim --cmd 'au SwapExists * let v:swapchoice = "e"' | LC_ALL=C LANG=C LANGUAGE=C awk '{print; fflush()}' [ 241s] [?1049h[>4;2m[?1h=[?2004h[?12h[?12l[?2004l[>4;m[?2004h[>4;2m[?25l"test_functions.vim" 39 lines, 1012 bytes00:00 Executing Test_getchar() [ 241s] "test_functions.res" [New][New] 0L, 0B written ``` I tried setting TERM to default, ansi, vt320, xterm, and xterm-256color, but I only noticed differences in the control sequence output. The failure error messages remained the same: "Test caused Vim to exit" and "Vim: Error reading input, exiting...". Based on reading community issues and consulting the documentation, I speculate that this could be related to the `compatible`, `keyprotocol`, and `noesckeys` settings. Therefore, I tried setting them to "no" and even set the control sequence mentioned in the log to empty, such as: `REDIR_TEST_TO_NULL = --cmd 'au SwapExists * let v:swapchoice = "e"' --cmd 'set keyprotocol=' --cmd 'set t_TI=' --cmd 'set t_TE=' --cmd 'set noesckeys' --cmd 'set t_BE=' --cmd 'set t_BD=' --cmd 'set t_ke=' --cmd 'set t_te=' --cmd 'set t_ve=' --cmd 'set t_fd=' | LC_ALL=C LANG=C LANGUAGE=C awk '{print; fflush()}'`. However, the error situation did not change. You see, those strange control sequences have disappeared, but `Vim: Error reading input, exiting...` remains. ```bash 2024-03-06 10:36:02 VIMRUNTIME=../../runtime ../vim -f -u unix.vim --gui-dialog-file guidialog -U NONE --noplugin --not-a-term -S runtest.vim test_functions.vim --cmd 'au SwapExists * let v:swapchoice = "e"' --cmd 'set term=pcansi' | LC_ALL=C LANG=C LANGUAGE=C awk '{print; fflush()}' 2024-03-06 10:36:02 "test_functions.vim" 39 lines, 1012 bytes00:00 Executing Test_getchar() 2024-03-06 10:36:02 Vim: Error reading input, exiting... 2024-03-06 10:36:02 Vim: Finished. 2024-03-06 10:36:02  2024-03-06 10:36:02 "test.log" [New] 2024-03-06 10:36:02 "test.log" [New] 6L, 100B written 2024-03-06 10:36:02 NO tests executed 2024-03-06 10:36:02 1 FAILED: ``` Vim is a complex editor, and I have limited knowledge about it.
