If an endpoint with the signal and backup was already present, the MP_JOIN reply was not containing the backup flag as expected. That's confusing to have this inconsistent behaviour. On the other hand, the infrastructure to set the backup flag in the SYN + ACK + MP_JOIN was already there, it was just never set before. Now when requesting the local ID from the path-manager, the backup status is also requested. Note that when the userspace PM is used, the backup flag can be set if the local address was already used before with a backup flag, e.g. if the address was announced with the 'backup' flag, or a subflow was created with the 'backup' flag. No need to call the PM again to re-iterate over the list of entries with RCU lock to get more info. Instead, it is possible to pass a mptcp_pm_addr_entry structure, instead of a mptcp_addr_info one. The former contains the ifindex and the flags that are required when creating the new subflow. This is a partial revert of commit ee285257a9c1 ("mptcp: drop flags and ifindex arguments"). While at it, the local ID can also be set if it is known and 0, to avoid having to set it in the 'rebuild_header' hook, which will cause a new iteration of the endpoint entries. Without these counters, it was difficult to point out the reason why some subflows were not created as expected. These counters should have been added earlier, because there is no other simple ways to extract such information from the kernel, and understand why subflows have not been created. While at it, some pr_debug() have been added, just in case the errno needs to be printed. For the ADD_ADDR, only display the host when it is the client sending it, which is more unusual. Also before, the 'invert' message was printed after a few checks, but it was not clear which ones exactly. This test extends "delete and re-add" and "delete re-add signal" to validate the previous commit: the number of MPTCP events are checked to make sure there are no duplicated or unexpected ones. A new helper has been introduced to easily check these events. The missing events have been added to the lib. The 'Fixes' tag here below is the same as the one from the previous commit: this patch here is not fixing anything wrong in the selftests, but it validates the previous fix for an issue introduced by this commit ID. The patch before merged is incomplte, and caused some errors in kselftests, this patch can fix this. The conflicts in mptcp_join.sh were in the context, because a new helper had to be added after others that are not in this version. The conflicts in mptcp_lib.sh were due to the fact the other MPTCP_LIB_EVENT_* constants were not present.
